Octopizzo Turns Down an Award for Comeback Artist Of The Year

Arguably Kenyan biggest rapper Octopizzo just turned down The Bingwa award for the comeback artist of the year.
He termed it as disrespect from organizers because he has been in the industry ever since he dropped his first hit single On Top, and the quality of Hiphop music he has been releasing in terms of audio and video are on another level you can’t even compare it any other Kenyan artist.

Octopizzo feels it’s an insult and I also personally think Octopizzo deserves better because he is taking Kenyan Music to another level (international).

”Unfortunately I won’t take the award of Comeback Artist Of The Year  I never went anywhere, I’ve been here since my 1st hit single, I put in more work than any artist of my genre, unless you are awarding me for coming back from my Europe tour then it doesn’t make sense, I’d rather you acknowledge and respect my work than award me & nominating me for a “comeback” award which was such a joke.”

He goes on to say that they should have instead awarded Wahu who recently made a comeback and was also nominated in the same category with him.

Got something to add, write it in the comments section.
