Mpesa Free Statements: Tracking Payments

Kenya runs on M-pesa,
M-pesa was launched in 2007. It quickly captured a significant market share for cash transfers, and grew to 17 million subscribers by December 2011. It has grown over the years now with over 22 million users. Safaricom announced a new FREE service that allows M-Pesa customers to access monthly statements via email. The relocation of M-pesa servers from Kenya to Germany is what made this possible. M-pesa users will have the option to request every 5th day of the month to enhance transparency and accountability. M-pesa users can access the statement either by downloading the M-ledger app or by dialing *234#.
M-pesa receives an average of 30000 customers every month seeking to receive printed M-pesa statements also 9,000 calls are made to the Customer Centre every month requesting for statements, and listed the new services as illustrative of the trans-formative power of placing more control at customer's disposal.
Not long ago Safaricom launched another service that allows subscribers to confirm their recipient before money transfer.

M-pesa is also in to Afghanistan, South Africa, India and Eastern Europe and other African countries. M-Pesa allows users to deposit, withdraw, transfer money and pay for goods and services (Lipa na M-Pesa) easily with a mobile device.
